As the weather continue to gets warmer, I’ve been packing up those heavy winter coats and transitioning into Spring-friendly pieces. To wrap up this week’s LBD theme, I’m styling my LBD for a night out!

As I mentioned in my last posts, the LBD is the ultimate staple piece you NEED in your closet. Pair it with a fringy kimono and rockstud sandals (seen here), with a leather jacket and booties (seen here), or with heeled boots and a streamline vest! The right LBD can be extremely versatile and you can get a wide range of looks from one piece! Talk about getting your money’s worth…

One of the most chic combos I’m obsessed with right now is the mini dress + over-the-knee boots. These two pieces paired together gives you instant and effortless sophistication. If you don’t have a pair of OTK boots yet, take a look at my favorites because you need a pair in your life! These STEVE MADDEN ones, CATHERINE MALANDRINO, and ASOS boots are under $100 and these JEFFREY CAMPBELL ones are under $200! Even though I usually associate tall, suede boots with winter outfits, these are perfect for those cooler Spring nights out and can be worn with dresses, leggings, or jeans!

I had the pleasure of working with the L’Oreal Paris makeup team for this look, and am so excited to share my experience! I wear very basic make up (foundation, top eye liner and mascara) so I was thrilled to learn about some tips and tricks from the L’Oreal team. I started with make up in which they went for a fresh, feminine, look with a pink, shimmery palette.

My lids were first layered with several neutral colors from their NUDE 1 palette, followed by a pop of color with their shimmery shadow in LIQUID DIAMOND for a pop of color. My brows were filled in with their easy to use BROW STYLIST DEFINER to frame my face and give my brows more definition. My face was then contoured at the cheek bones and nose using their PRO CONTOUR PALATTE (which was also used to highlight the brow bone under my eyebrows!). My lips were finished off with a highly pigmented 8HR PRO GLOSS to provide shine and chic color. Although this is much more make up than I normally wear, it didn’t feel too heavy and dramatic as the shades blended effortlessly. What do you think??

My favorite part of the experience was this amazing hairstyle (very Game of Thrones inspired)! My hair was already curled upon arrival, and first swept back into a high pony. Two pieces towards the front of my head were kept out of the initial pony, and then added back in with a small twist and pin. Next, varying widths of hair were braided in a variety of ways : fishtail, normal braids, and then tiny braids that were ‘tied’ with a curl instead of a band…so fun! As long as you can do a simple braid, you can totally recreate this look. The high pony and braids were finished off with L’Oreal’s Weather Control hairspray which is amazing you guys! It smells delicious (a huge plus) and provides a strong hold without being crunchy and stiff…a new favorite for sure.

If you have any questions about products used or techniques, shoot me message! Hope you enjoy!

Cheers,

Hannah
