A new week means another Vogue in Vines featured item! This week’s featured item is this Kate Spade mini purse that I’ll be styling 3 different ways, starting with this feminine, simple, classic look.
Although I love the practicality of big tote purses (spacious enough to fit my wallet, phone, snacks, hand sanitizer, sunglasses, kindle, etc.), I’ve been gravitating towards these mini purses lately because they are absolutely adorable! Just big enough to carry the essentials, this bright green purse has been perfect for days and nights out when schlepping a big tote isn’t ideal. Not only is this puppy lightweight, but it’s bright color contrasting the gold chain adds a pop of color and shine to any outfit.
As I’ve written in so many past posts, I love outfits that combine mixed textures. This Sachin & Babi dress mixes a lace overlay on top of a fine mesh fabric. The “exposed” back gives this dress an unexpected element that spices up an ordinary sheath dress. On top of the textures in this dress, these fantastic Rebecca Minkoff studded sandals bring a tougher aspect to this otherwise feminine look. I’ll be posting many more outfits with these sandals because they are extremely versatile, comfortable, and pair seamlessly with a sweet dress or more masculine lines.
As with most of our shoots, I bribe my husband Joe with cocktails and appetizers to take my photos 🙂 This meal was actually in celebration of his birthday and he chose Ad Hoc in Yountville for his night out. Ad Hoc is a special treat because they change their menu daily with a pre-fixed menu that is always delicious! Too add to their awesomeness, every Monday they offer their signature buttermilk fried chicken (ah!), so of course we strategically planned this meal on Monday night. If you are ever in the area, GO TO AD HOC FOR THE FRIED CHICKEN. You can thank me later 😉
